Low Margin Rates

Smart investors know to think beyond commissions. For many investors, their accounts are impacted by the cost of high margin rates, not by the cost of commissions. If you carry a margin balance, the cost of borrowing can significantly outweigh your commission charges. Consider the impact of “borrowing smarter” with Investrade. Our margin interest rates are among the lowest of online brokers. Investrade offers margin rates as low as 1.00% below the broker call rate. Learn More

Investrade Discount Securities is a division of Regal Securities, Inc., a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), and as a member of the SIPC, funds are available to meet customer claims up to a maximum of $500,000 in cash and securities with a $100,000 cash maximum. In addition to SIPC protection, Penson Financial Services, Inc. maintains Excess SIPC insurance that covers the loss of customers' securities and cash (but does not protect against market losses), subject to certain conditions and limitations, up to an aggregate limit of $200,000,000 with a $900,000 cash maximum across all customer accounts.

Note: SIPC and Excess SIPC provide coverage against loss of securities and cash, not against market depreciation, fluctuation in market value of your securities or a trading loss. The SIPC brochure is available upon request or at www.sipc.org.

Option rates apply to each side of spread orders. Option strategies involve multiple purchases; therefore your transaction costs may be significant for option strategy trades.

Additional fees may apply to orders greater than 2,000 shares directed to the NYSE. Foreign stock orders must be placed with a broker; there is no additional broker assistance charge. Foreign stock orders are $39.00.
